Pip is a small, independent app that reminds you of every dose and teaches you how each of your medications actually works. If something's broken, confusing, or missing, email us — a real person answers.
01 Is Pip medical advice?
No. Pip is an educational reminder app, not a medical device. It does not diagnose or treat anything and does not replace your prescriber, your pharmacist, or the leaflet in the box. When in doubt, call your pharmacist.
02 What data does Pip collect?
Your dose history stays on your device. If you leave Share anonymous usage data on, Pip sends anonymous events: which medications you added (name, dose, schedule), when you log a dose or a miss, and which lessons you open. If you also leave Include my profile on, your birth year, sex at birth and time zone are included so adherence can be looked at by group. All of it is filed under a random ID this app invented on first launch. No name, no email, no account, nothing tied to your phone or Apple ID. Turn either switch off any time in Settings.
03 What happens when I talk to Pip?
The mic button turns what you say into a search of the medication list, using Apple's speech recognition. Pip never records, stores or uploads your voice. On most recent iPhones recognition runs entirely on the device; where it can't, Apple's speech service may process the audio under Apple's privacy policy.
04 A reminder didn't fire.
Check Settings → Reminders in Pip. If notifications show Off, open iPhone Settings → Pip → Notifications and allow alerts. Each medication also has its own reminder switch on its page. Reminders are scheduled locally, so Low Power Mode or a Focus can delay them.
05 How do I fix a dose I logged wrong, or delete everything?
Tap the green check on a dose to undo it, or long-press a row to log a miss. Settings → Reset everything clears all medications, history and your profile; deleting the app does the same.
If you've taken more than one pill in a day, call your doctor or Poison Control at 1-800-222-1222 (US, free, 24/7) — this page and the app are not a substitute for that call.

Pip has no account system, no advertising, no third-party trackers, and no advertising identifiers. It never asks who you are.
What stays on your device. Your medications, doses, schedules, and the record of every dose you marked taken, missed or skipped are stored in your iPhone's local storage. That history is not uploaded.
What is sent, if you allow it. Pip has two switches, shown during setup and available any time in Settings. While Share anonymous usage data is on, Pip sends usage events to the developer's private database so we can understand what actually helps people take their medications correctly. Each event may include: the event itself (a dose logged, a miss and the reason you chose, a medication added or changed, a lesson opened, a quiz answer), the medication's name, dose, schedule and start/end dates, the time a dose was logged and how late it was, your streak, your iPhone model, iOS version and the app version. While Include my profile is also on, your birth year, sex at birth, time zone and reminder preference are included so adherence can be compared across groups.
How events are identified. Each install generates a random identifier the first time the app opens. It is not your Apple ID, not your phone number, not the device identifier Apple provides to developers, and not derived from anything about you or your hardware. It cannot be used to contact you or to recognise you in another app. Deleting Pip destroys it permanently.
Voice. The microphone is used only while you hold the mic button, to turn a spoken medication name into a search. Pip never records, stores or transmits audio. Recognition is performed by Apple's speech framework, on the device where supported; otherwise Apple's speech service may process the audio under Apple's own privacy policy.
Who can see it. Data goes to a private database controlled by the developer and is used only to improve the app and to understand adherence in aggregate. It is not sold, rented, or shared with advertisers, data brokers, or any third party.
Turning it off. Open Settings in the app and switch off Share anonymous usage data. Sending stops immediately and any events still waiting on your device are discarded.
Notifications. Reminders are scheduled locally by iOS on your device. No notification content passes through any external service.
Health data. Pip does not read from or write to Apple Health, and never requests access to it.
Children. The app is not directed at children under 13.
Deleting your data. Use Settings → Reset everything to clear what is on your phone, or delete the app entirely. To have previously sent anonymous events removed from the developer's database, email the address below with the random ID shown in the app's Settings screen.
Changes. If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
